Myself, Shivam Chaubey, a school master, would like to thank the teacher Aanchal from Mumbai and nominate her for the Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Awards for the following reasons. During lockdown, my small village, Reotipur, district Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh state had no school as the students had no access to Android phones. There was only one laptop in the public library. I happened to mention this to Aanchal during a casual telephone conversation. Then this teacher volunteered to teach English-speaking skills through storytelling. She made some PowerPoint presentations and taught a few stories. The students in my village gathered in the public library and took part in the interactive session. They thoroughly enjoyed the session. Me and my students are grateful for those few sessions conducted during lockdown."
